August 18, 2013 – Incredible First Few Days in Bolivia

Message from the Office

We spoke with Berg Adventures guide Wendy today and she says the trip has been great so far. They have had an action packed first few days here is what she had to say:

Alain’s visit to Tiahuanacu ruins was incredible, perfect, he was very involved in the information he was being given from the guide. He was asking questions about the culture and past events and our guide was answering all of his questions.

The weather was just perfect for this little expedition, we had no clouds in the sky and the food was delicious. Alain tried the quinua soup and llama.

After that we were back on our way to Copacabana, and we arrived by 6:30pm. We had a little rest; Alain was really excited about going to Sun Island.

Sunday we visited the Sun Island and along the way the guide was explaining to Alain the history of this beautiful place. We visited Horca del Inca and then we had lunch on the Island. We tried fish, trout, ispi with corn and potatoes.

On our way back Alain enjoyed the sightseeing around the lake, the boat and the beautiful weather.

After a full day of sightseeing we returned to La Paz around 6pm. Osvaldo talked to Alain about the following days and checked his equipment. Tomorrow morning at 9 am we are leaving for Condoriri to start his training.
