Camp III is way up there in the middle of the Lhotse Face

Things are looking very good right now. The guys started off from Camp II this morning and Steve called about 20 minutes before 12 pm and they were crossing the bergschrund and they were going to get on the steep fixed climb of the Lhotse Face. They were in the tents up on the ledges on the Lhotse Face at 24,000ft. above sea level by the midafternoon. They started to brew up their hot drinks and the food they will use to hydrate.

We talked to Danuru and our Sherpas are going to take off climbing at 4 am from camp II and meet Steve and Todd and Daniel just past 6 am and start climbing for the South Col. The guys are going to sleep on oxygen tonight. When they were at camp III before they did not, but tonight they will sleep on oxygen. We are going to wish them best as they climb the South Col tonight. This is an exciting time. I will keep in touch regularly.
