Elbrus Expedition Dispatch
July 23, 2011 – Clear views of Mount Elbrus
It is 8:35 in the morning on the 23rd of July and Chet, Vladimir and I are standing at about 13,000 feet above sea level, just above the hut that will be our home for acclimatization here on the glacier beneath the twin summits of Mount Elbrus.
We arrived on the mountains. It is a beautiful day, we have fantastic scenery and we continue to enjoy a perfect unobstructed view of Mount Elbrus.
