July 21, 2011 – The Team Arrives at the Mountain Hut

This is the Berg Adventures Office reporting that we have spoken to the team and they have arrived at a very scenic and serene hut at 10,300ft/3,140m above sea level. They are having an enjoyable evening watching a large group West Causasian tur play outside their hut. There are even a number of large males with very long horns.
The five-hour hike today was very beautiful and everyone enjoyed it. When they arrived at the hut, Karina pulled some delicious surprises from her backpack and began preparing the evening meal. Their first course was fresh tomatoes, fresh cucumbers, bread and Russian caviar. Then they had soup and finally pasta with tomato sauce for the main dish. Everyone sounded very content and ready to move up to Mount Elbrus in the coming days.
