Bolivia Expedition Dispatch

June 23, 2010 – Hike to High Camp

This is Leila Silveira reporting from Sajama base camp. Today we had a fantastic breakfast. Heiko, Terri, and Sam together with Osvaldo, Sergio and Simon, our cook, started their climb towards Sajama high camp located at 4,700m/15,420ft. Tim decided to remain at base camp and monitor their summit attempt from here.

The team arrived at high camp and started to rest for their alpine start which is scheduled for around 2am. The weather remains fantastic and we just hope that it will stay that way for the next 24 hours.
