October 16, 2008 – Yak Burgers at Lobuche

This is Temba calling from Lobuche. Today we hiked from Pheriche to Lobuche which is at 15,200 ft. It is a pretty nice day; we have nice weather and very clear skies. We saw Cho Oyu and Makalu and then had our lunch at Dudhla. After lunch we hiked up to the Sherpa memorials and then to the Eco Lodge at Lobuche.

Everybody is doing really well. For dinner everyone enjoyed yak burgers for dinner. Tonight it’s a little cool. Tomorrow we are heading up to Gorak Shep and then climbing up Kala Patthar to get our full view of Everest. Bye for now!
