The group says farewell to Lukla, Friday Morning, May 20th

The staff made a cake for the group for the trekking farewell dinner in Lukla, Thurs. May 19th Wes disembarking from Yeti Airlines plane in Kathmandu
We made it to Kathmandu and headed to see the sights in Thamel. Each member of the group has big plans for shopping tomorrow.
Our first night back in Kathmandu, we headed for the Everest Steak House - a favorite spot for Leila after a trek or climb. We were joined for dinner by Min and his 8 year old son, Diphendra and Nima. We also met some friends from the trekking trail to Everest who were back in town with us. We had people from all over US and Canada at the table, as well as from Germany.
Our Friend François, from Montreal, had trekked part of the way to Base Camp with us. He also joined us for dinner at the Everest steak House. |
