December 28, 2007 – Trekking on Easier Terrain

The Summit of Kilimanjaro

Hi, it's Michael. It's just after noon on the 28th and we are on our way to Kossovo. We were in Karanga last night. We will sleep in Kossovo tonight at about 17,000 feet and we'll summit tomorrow morning. Today, the terrain is much easier than yesterday. Going up the wall was pretty difficult; it’s about 800-1000 feet of sheer rock... [lost transmission]... everything's great. The food is great. All the porters are great. When we're back home, remind me to tell you about Gillian's experience. We'll try giving you a call from satellite phone when we've reached the summit.
