The beautiful mountain scenery on the trail from Pangboche to Chhukhung

Shelley and Brad ready to climb Island PeakThis is Shelley calling for Berg Adventures Island Peak Expedition on Tuesday May 17th. Today, Brad, myself and our guide, Ang Temba, made our way to Chhukhung, which is at 4730 meters. We did after a pleasant rest day in Pangboche the night before.

After our lunch today in Dingboche, we walked up the valley where we had perfect views of our objective, Island Peak. It is a great mountain and it looks like it is going to be a lot of fun.

Brad and I are feeling pretty strong after we acclimatized really well with the trekkers during the first part of our trip, we made some great friends along the way and we both wish all our trekking team well as they make their way back to Kathmandu. So we are thinking about you guys and I hope the rest of your trip is going really well.

Tomorrow we will arrive at Island Peak Base Camp where we will check in once again with another update.
