November 2, 2007 – Last Day in Namche Bazaar

Well, we have really found our trekking rhythm now. After our second night at the Panorama Lodge in Namche, we were on our way.

It's Saturday, which is market day in Namche, and everything is for sale. There are hot chili peppers, oranges, lentils, fresh meat and even yeast for making chang, which is the local rice beer.

After a last piece of fresh baked goods at the Namche bakery, we were on the road again, and what a road it is. The trip to Khumjung from Namche Bazaar is short in distance but is definately long on scenery. We are at the 12,350 feet (3763 meters) which is now our home tonight.

Here we are with Dr. Kami at the lodge. He is a long time friend of Berg Adventures. He is a doctor working in the Kunde hospital, which treats many local Sherpas and more than a few international travelers who come to this region and have health problems. He is definitely an asset  to this part of the world. He is our host...
