December 30 – 3-Day Safari Group Back in Arusha; Sharon and Bryant Continue On to Serengeti

We spoke today with Sandy who briefly described a full and rewarding safari experience that she, Annette and Kevin had with their safari guide Richard Mndowla. She said that they saw many amazing things, including a lion kill in Ngorongoro.  We are hoping they will find time to e-mail or call in some more details and perhaps photos.

Typical Wa Arusha home along the Mt Meru Foothills HikeTomorrow morning Annette and Kevin are scheduled to fly from Kilimanjaro International Airport to begin their trip back home to Alberta Sandy is going to do our Mt. Meru foothills hike, with BAI guide Simon. This is the same pleasant hike through the villages and farms on the slopes of Mt Meru at the edge of the city of Arusha that several of our other groups have done.  It should be an interesting way for her to spend her last day in Tanzania before catching an afternoon flight to Nairobi . Simon and Sandy will walk past the homes of the Wa Arusha people, a group of farmers who are closely related to the Maasai.

While Annette and Kevin are traveling home and Sandy enjoys a last day in Arusha, Sharon and Bryant will be driving around Serengeti with their guide John Exaud.  We wish everyone the best with their continuing travels and adventures.
