August 5, 2007 – Double celebration at the trailhead: End of a great trip and Joe’s birthday! This is a Mark and Joe, we are back in Arusha. We had a 6 ½ hour hike today down to the Marango gate where we had a group celebration with dancing, singing with guitars. Then Berg Adventures had a birthday cake for Joe; it is his birthday. I don’t know how old he is! We had that to celebrate as well, we just had a great trip and that was a great way to end it. We are back in the hotel now; we will be back home soon.
