Hi everybody this is Pat. I just wanted to let you know that I am on my way to the summit. Today is my birthday and if I’m lucky I’ll reach the summit. I’m feeling ok and I don’t want to say much more because I need to conserve my energy.

Hello this is Pat giving you a second dispatch for today, I had a successful summit! Thanks to Safi, Rodrick and a very special thank you to all my hiking and climbing friends. I could not have done this without all that training my friends did with me. I really appreciate it and now I’m really happy to be getting off this mountain, I’ll see you soon.

[ Update from BAI office ]

Congratulations to both Pat and David for reaching the summit of Kilimanjaro. Although David did not send a dispatch he did reach the summit with the rest of the team. Today on January 16th we were informed by our office in Arusha that Pat and David are safely off the mountain and relaxing at their hotel in Arusha with their teammate Joe. The team is together again and will begin their safari adventure tomorrow in the early morning.
