October 19 – George and Denio on Their Way Home
Hello, this is Grant Meekins reporting for Berg Adventures Island Peak / Lobuche Peak expedition. I am happy to report that Denio and George got a flight from Lukla to Kathmandu yesterday. After successfully summiting Lobuche Peak both Denio and George climbed extremely well on this mountain and were both extremely happy with their climb, they decided to save Island Peak for another year, so they opted not to do the Island Peak portion and are now on their way home with happy thoughts of Lobuche Peak .
We had an excellent expedition, made a lot of good friends, had some good times together and we look forward to climbing together again in the future. So this is Grant Meekins from Namche Bazaar and this is the last dispatch for the Berg Adventures Island Peak / Lobuche Peak climb. Thank you and good-bye.
