October 7 – Acclimatizing on Gokyo Ri
This is Grant Meekins calling on October 7, 2004 . We are right now above Gokyo in the Khumbu region of Nepal and I am here with Denio Moreira, George Carabetta, Maegan Carney and we are doing really, really well. We are about 16,400 ft (5000m) and we are climbing Gokyo Ri which is right above the village of Gokyo. We are all doing really well, acclimatizing extremely well and moving well. We will send dispatches of our progress as we continue to climb in this amazing area.
