October 5, 2006 - Leaving the Mountains Behind
After an extremely successful and fun farewell dinner in Lukla last night the team returned to Kathmandu after a short flight from Lukla early this morning. There was definitely some excitement among the group at the thought of hot showers and fresh clothes. But also a little sadness as they said goodbye to the Khumbu and to the many friends they made. After freshening up in the hotel the team made their way to Thamel for a little more shopping and for some dinner, and they once again enjoyed a great foot massage. Tomorrow will be a free day in Kathmandu and in the evening they will meet one last time as a group for a farewell dinner.
