December 31, 2007 – New Year's Eve in Mendoza
Hello, some of our guides for Aconcagua came from Bolivia for the first time. Obviously where they're from, it's not nearly as warm at the high altitudes of Bolivia where these guides live as it is in summertime in Mendoza. Today we got our permits to go into the provincial park. We went down to the offices, did our paperwork and then we enjoyed walking around the streets of Mendoza for awhile. Then we had a great steak dinner at a local Argentinean restaurant, which you do in a country where the people appreciate their steak... [lost transmission]. The first straw is to begin to get acclimatized. Happy New Year's Eve! |
