August 14, 2014 – An Acclimatization Day

A message from Osvaldo:

Hello,

Today we had an acclimatization day. The weather has been changing all day and we did get some snow.

This morning we hiked Nevado peak up to 16,400ft/5,000m. It was a really good hike and Dave enjoyed it.

After our hike we came down and walked near the lake that is right beside our Base Camp. We arrived back at camp around 1 PM for a delicious lunch that Maria had cooked for us. Maria’s food is always very good!

Dave wants to spend this afternoon relaxing at Base Camp.

Tomorrow we will go out onto the glacier for some practice. After that we will decide what our plan will be for the next couple of days.
