Joel came out to meet and congratulate us.
He met Mark at the bottom of the trail to say "good job"
There was music, warm congratulations and celebration at the bottom
It is 14,000 feet from our cold Crater Camp on the top of Kilimanjaro
to the park gate at Mweka way down in the forest. We made the trip down in 1 1/2 days
and found a great buffet lunch provided by Berg Adventure Arusha office
waiting for us at the bottom
After hard work and a tough descent all the way off the mountain the entire team,
Climb for Kids Climbers, BAI guides and staff and BAI porters
relaxed together at the bottom of the mountain.
