January 7, 2007 – Enjoying the Safari

Zebras playing in the Ngorongoro Crater

Hello this is Cheryl from the Nacos family trip.  We are calling to do a quick dispatch.  We are spending our second night here at Ngorongoro crater.  The first night we spent at the Treetop Lodge which was beautiful.  The rooms were beautiful as were the views.  We had to have people lead us to our rooms at night to avoid any animal encounters.  In your room you can hear all the birds.

The next day we left and came to the crater and in the crater we’ve seen zebras, wildebeests, elephants and many lions.  We got to see a kill today of one of the water buffalo, it was quite the experience.  We’ve learned about many birds.

Now we are just sitting here in the lounge, having some wonderful cocktails, enjoying each others company.  Next we are off tomorrow to the Serengeti to see whole other group of animals.  It’s been quite the adventure.  Everyone has now recovered from their sore muscles from climbing Kilimanjaro and we’ve shed a layer of skin from our sunburns and looking much better now.

I hope everyone is doing well back in the States and we are having a great time and can’t wait to share everything with you.  Bye-bye.
